Alpine skiing – fun for the whole family
Lillehammer and Gudbrandsdalen are home to two of the largest alpine resorts we have in Norway. Here there are slopes for both the youngest, and for the most experienced and adrenaline-seeking. There are groomed runs and forest skiing in both resorts, and lifts suitable for everyone.
Ski slopes for everyone
Hafjell and Kvitfjell are among the largest alpine resorts we have in Norway. Hafjell is located just 15 minutes north of Lillehammer, and Kvitfjell is located just 15 minutes south of Ringebu, right in the middle of our region. In addition, we have several smaller resorts well distributed throughout the rest of the region, so we have plenty to choose from for you who love to ski.
Hafjell alpine resort
Hafjell is the resort that is most adapted for the youngest, and there are several areas where the little ones can explore skiing skills in safe surroundings. And if patience runs out, they can play in a playground at the top of the gondola. Here you can read more about Hafjell’s children’s areas.
Kvitfjell alpine resort
Most people without knowledge of Kvitfjell associate this resort with black runs and intense downhill skiing like the world stars do. And that’s true, but the resort offers so much more.
Kvitfjell consists of three mountain sides, all with different difficulty levels. On the east side you’ll find the black World Cup runs, on the west side you’ll find both forest runs, a magic carpet lift for the youngest and everything from blue to black runs. On Varden, Kvitfjell’s latest developed mountain side, you can safely ski both runs and in the forest, but completely without risk of getting lost on a black run.
Kvitfjell also has a park for the playful, but it’s not quite as developed as Hafjell’s two parks.
